The Power of Words

I've learned at an early age that the adage, "stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" is a lie from the pit of hell. As a child with "buck teeth", the insults were endless. As a result, I learned that words can, not only sting worst than physical pain, but they can also linger for months and even years if not addressed. In fact, harsh words have hindered some from moving forward; silenced some; and held others in bondage. I challenge you as leaders to use your words to motivate, empower uplift, and help yourself and others. When one of us succeed, we all succeed.  Join Royalty at www.meetup.com/Royalty

Keep Moving Forward

Let your uncomfortable situation motivate you to keep moving forward to your destiny. You are on your way to greatness! You may not be clear about the direction but God is and He's working behind the scenes to get you ready. I assure you that you're in the right place at the right time. Be alert and understand that no task is too small for God to make great. He is all powerful and faithful. Keep believing. Regardless of who is on your side- Write daily, motivate, articulate your thoughts clearly, sing, dream big, advise, organize, plan, coach, counsel, give, etc... whatever you do, do it with excellence- keep going. Everyday that you work to perfect the gift, you get closer to the reality of abundance. Leaders make the firm decision that, no matter what things look like today, failure is not an option. As Patti LaBelle says, tomorrow is a new day. Keep moving forward and get ready for your blessing.

Frugal Divas Shop Smarter

Being frugal is not a sin; in fact, Frugal Divas shop smarter. They are commited to being good stewards and devoted to managing their financial affairs properly. They have also decided that lack and/or financial struggles is no longer an option for their lives. Besides, leaders must be accountable for their spending. I encourage you to become a leader in the financial affairs of your household. 1.) Stop and take the time to consider all costs; 2.) never leave home without a shopping list; 3.) look at the store sales paper before shopping; 4.) use coupons faithfully (small amounts add to much); 5.) ask for a rain check on sale items; 6.) if you're a snacker like me, purchase one snack item per visit; and 7.) always- without exception- do comparison shopping for the best prices. Leaders must plan head; be flexible by anticipating bumps in the road; and execute with diligence. Best Wishes. Serving Leaders who are Carefully Distinguished. Ready to Serve. Great Leaders are Everywhere!

There are no restrictions for being an awesome leader. In fact, big or small, great leaders are everywhere. So often we think that because someone has a job title, it qualifies them to be a great leader. But that is only partly true. Truthfully, you can be in the lowest position within the company and yet be the greatest leader in the building. Because you have the potential to be a great leader. Especially, when you decide to live through passion and commit to living your best life. Yes, with determination, hard work, and a healthy perspective, anyone can be a great leader!

Men Like Drama Too

Some men like drama too. So often we say that, "women are full of drama" but the truth is that some men are full of drama too. The only difference is that we tolerate it from them because there's something for us to gain. But no one likes to be discriminated against. Not even you. It's time for us to change the channel and commit to living drama free lives, whether it comes from a man or a woman. Leaders must diligently focus on being fair at all times. If you forgive one then forgive the other. It's all about equal opportunity.

The Battle with the Flesh

Have you ever had a battle with the flesh? It goes something like this- That sweater or those shoes would look so good on me (flesh); but I do need to pay that electric bill (reason). I am so hungry that I can eat a cow- delivery sounds nice (flesh); but I do need to go grocery shopping for home (reason).
Sometimes, the flesh wins but that's never a reason to throw up your hands and stop striving to gain control over your flesh. Just because you fall off the horse doesn't mean that the ride is over. Stand up straight; accept & admit that you've fallen; brush yourself off; and try again. It's just that simple. Leaders never stop trying. In fact, they just learn the lesson and move on to the next.  Join Royalty at www.meetup.com/Royalty

Merry Christmas is it?

For some people, Christmas is anything but merry. In fact, the meaning of this day, to some, means buying gifts that recipients won't like or appreciate; over-drafted bank accounts; a higher number of credit card transactions; a reminder about not having a significant other; pressure about giving gifts; disappointment of seeing everyone else walk around with new items while they have none; the inevitable participation in the "most expense gift competition"; guilt about spending extra money that they really don't have; and thoughts about their lost loved ones.

Wait a minute- has Christmas lost its true meaning?? I've heard it said that "Tis' the season of giving" but for giving what? Time, talents, presents, love, attention? I've also heard it said that the best things in life are free. Well, if that's the case then why all of the commotion?

Now I'm not a bible scholar but I haven't found anyplace in the bible where it mentions that Jesus ever gave presents- not even to His mother. Nor does it mention anything about Him receiving birthday presents or anything for that matter. In fact, from what I've read, Jesus did the giving all year around: He gave sight to the blind; the ability to walk to the lame; healing to the sick & insane; life to the dead; forgiveness; and more. You can feel free to prove me wrong by responding. I'm not always right but I accept the challenge with scriptures to back it up.

Until then, remember that leaders must prioritize and remember what matters most- LOVE!
Happy Holidays!!! Love ya. Your sister in Christ- Brenda  Join Royalty at www.meetup.com/Royalty

Choose Ye This Day...

Whether we like it or not, someone is always watching us. They study our attitudes; behaviors; our lifestyles; and our motives. So if you choose to call yourself a Christian, then work hard to become more "Christ-like". Leaders must be decisive. So stop waivering and make a choice- rise up to the standards of righteousness and excellence or stay carnal?  Whatever you do, make the choice and then stick to it.

Reminder of Your Status

When people say, "they think they're better" in essence, what they are saying is, "I think that I am not". Pray for and remind them that they are wonderful. History and society tells some that they are better and some of us even treat people like they're more privileged. The rest of us just need reminders- so here it is- You are intelligent! You have the spirit of excellence inside of you! You are a leader! You are privileged! There aregreat things in store for you! You are royalty!  Join Royalty at www.meetup.com/Royalty

A Designer Original

When we find a designer original clothing item, unique style shoes, or a one of a kind piece of jewelry, it's worth celebrating. Likewise, it should be the same when it comes to you. You are a Designer original- someone worth celebrating! Leaders understand that it's essential for them to always go where they are celebrated; not where they are tolerated. They also understand that influences can effect success. Enjoy being an original; enjoy being celebrated and expect others to do the same. Join Royalty at www.meetup.com/Royalty
